i am primarily a Great Plains native plant enthusiast, but in recent years that enthusiasm has aggressively spread to the entomological world. i love bug.

i am entirely "self-taught". i spend as much time as i can in my yard where i try to cultivate and build a tiny prairie habitat (i am a moderator on the r/NativePlantGardening subreddit), as well as exploring the tiny bits and pieces of undisturbed and undeveloped land that remain around me.

my observations tend to be focused on Kansas native plants, insects, and birds. i submit observations of invasive plants only if the population of that specific plant is so high in the area i am currently observing in that it would be misrepresentative to not include it.
