Mackerel Reef (21-466) - Booby Bird live-aboard trip
Poor quality shot but shows the lazy way to image fish (at a roadside pullover, creek then passed under a culvert ) in a tiny creek flowing steeply towards coast over large boulders. We stopped just long enough for me to squat on edge and stick camera into a little rock pool which had clear fresh water and lots of small fish!
juvenile yellowtail kingfish, on its dorsal half and white on it's ventral half with a yellow band running across their sides. has a yellow tail and yellow dorsal, pectoral and anal fins
Roughly 15cm long. Bright, blue spots along the top of its body. Slight blue tinge on the tips of the bottom fins and tail. Slightly red in colour along the top of the body and bright silver along the belly. Was caught very close to the shore.
Found at Peregian Beach near beach access 60 poor turtle didn't make it.
It was chilling on a log about 10 meters away from the walking track. Its size is around 20cm.
It seems that it's not in good condition, end of its tail is a bit abnormal.
