Really terrible photos of the bioluminescence. Doesn’t do it justice. Growing in dead bamboo and bamboo leaf litter along Madog River with Mycena chlorophos. The Mycena is more prevalent though. This seems limited to one spot in this bamboo grove. Default and last photos were taken by Dalia Hernandez-Ortiz, uploaded with permission. Center is N.nambi, others are Mycena chlorophos.

Growing in thick Sequoia sempervirens duff in a Sequoia sempervirens and Umbellularia californica dominant section of the forest by creek
Fragile coral, branches white becoming more tan near the base. Branches bifurcate, tips pointed
Smell slightly sweet, almost a little fruity with farinaceous undertones
Taste mild
KOH indistinct
Fluoresces bright blue/green, becomes bright white at tips
