Description
A pair of Steller's Jays have learned how to reach the sunflower seed feeder. (The lock is to foil efforts by the raccoons to break into the suet.)

Description
I saw three of these very large, hairy spiders in the intertidal zone during a very low tide. Each was >1" across. They ran across the beach to get away from me. The first two photos are one individual, and the third photo shows another individual. Perhaps a Wolf Spider?
