Description

Young python found whilst it was crossing road at night. A plastic ring was stuck tight around the anterior region of the snake's body. Presumably it accidentally stuck its head through this ring when it was younger/smaller, and could not pull out again. This must have caused some complications in the weeks/months afterwards when swallowing prey. By the time I found this snake, the plastic was causing a significant constriction into it's body. The ring was clipped off and the python was released on the outskirts of Phalaborwa.
